SELF DISCOVERY

“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of
service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.”
Oprah Winfrey

Let me tell you my personal story. I was raised to be an A student and I always was good at everything... not a genius but good. One might say that it is a great situation to be in... and yes, at some level, it is a good spot to live your life knowing that you can do OK in pretty much everything. But there is a severe sadness that comes with it because you are not satisfied with whatever you work on. It took me 25 years of an OK life before I discovered my calling. I had a fantastic family, but they didn't know how to help me discover myself and as long as I brought good grades, there was no problem...
Now that I am a mother of two, I know that my priority #1 is for my children to discover themselves. So, when the time comes, they will do 40+ hours/ week pursuing their passion, because our work takes a large part of our life. I want them to know what makes them tick and spend their life doing just that.

That is why we want to give kids an opportunity for self-discovery. We want them to take time to identify their abilities, so when the time comes, they will leverage and develop them. Once they know what they are passionate about, it's easier to grasp the concepts and implement them. And they will do it with joy.

We believe in Socrates's words:

"KNOW THYSELF."
